Multi Layer Mask (MLM)
To help customers reduce the costs of the development phase, MHS offers to lower the Prototyping Mask-set pricing by associating several masking layers within a single reticle plate.
Depending on the chip dimensions, our team will be able to arrange a two layer maskset (2LM) or a four layer maskset (4LM). This service is offered for all of our technology portfolio.
Our MLM service gives the customer more flexibility about schedule than the fixed runs of MPW. This approach could also allow the customer to create his own multi-project.
MLM management and rules
 The customer informs his sales representative at least 3 weeks in advance of the expected GDSII database delivery, and die dimensions, for planning purpose
The customer delivers his GDSII database via FOCUS, and places a purchase order for Maskset and Engineering lot
MHS’s team checks the database, organize the Frame layout, and orders the mask manufacturing
Engineering Wafer lot is manufactured and PCM tested
This service is exclusively dedicated to prototyping purpose
No production wafers may be fabricated using an MLM Mask-set
Prototype samples may be delivered as wafers, bare dice, or assembled parts
