December 6, 2006 MHS at SemiCon'06 Tokyo

MHS participated in SemiCon Japan in December.

During a conference held on the 6th of December, the MHS R&D announced a major innovation on advanced SOI material manufacturing technique.
Thanks to its advanced R&D activities, MHS is finalizing a new SOI substrate using patented technology. This new substrate will allow performances improvement on advanced technologies compared to current SOI materials.
Some Directors and Managers of the most important substrate manufacturers in the world attended the conference and visited our booth with a high interest for the presentation and this new technology.
SemiCon'06 in Tokyo was a success with a total of 109800 visitors and 1495 exhibitors from 24 countries. Most of them were Japanese (1173) but there were also many companies from U.S.A, Asia and Europe.
3845 visitors attended the speeches which were scheduled during the 3 day exhibition

 
November 20, 2006 MHS at Electronica 2006
Electronica 2006 was a successful event thanks to the very numerous visitors who participated at the exhibition from the 14th till the 17th of November in Munich.
The MHS team was very happy to meet several company managers and engineers,who came and had fruitful discussions with our Sales Engineers and Customer Support representatives. The business opportunities are excellent and we thank all of them for their visit.
October 20, 2006 Visit of Paris and Nantes 'Ecole Centrale' at MHS
A group of Senior Engineers who were Ecole Centale students some years ago, visited MHS in october.

July 2006 MHS has just been certified ISO 14001 version 2004

The company has just been recertified by BVQI for the design and production of integrated circuits and ASICS.
MHS is located in a very beautiful area close to the Erdre Valley and has always considered the environmental dimension as a company value.
This certification is the recognition of the maturity and efficiency of its Environmental Management System and the company has decided to go even further in developing a strategy of alternative energies.
This ISO 14001 certificate underlines the commitment of MHS to pursue a continuous improvement process, in order to meet the expectations of its customers, of its suppliers and of all its partners.

May 10-12, 2006 MHS, one of the sponsors of the "Journees Nationales du Réseau Doctoral de Microelectronique" in Rennes (France).

On the 11th of May, MHS was present, as an industrial partner, during this event which gathered 150 students in Microelectronics.
A wide scope of items and activities from conception to technology was covered during these sessions.

April 10, 2006 The inauguration of the Nantes Femtosecond laser

On the 10th of April, MHS participated at the inauguration of the Nantes femtosecond laser at the "Institut des Matériaux Jean Rouxel" (Jean Rouxel Institute of Material Science), in the presence of Eric Faulques, Directeur de Recherches CNRS and Serge Lefrant, Directeur de l'Institut des Matériaux.

March 1, 2006 Sales and Marketing
On the 1st of March 2006, Gaétan BEAULIEU was appointed MHS Sales and Marketing Vice-President.

Gaétan Beaulieu was previously in charge of the ATMEL NANTES fabrication and of the related Foundry Business.
Between 1996 and 2000, he was Vice-President and General Manager of ZARLINK 's  Swedish Semi-conductor Division.
He had already occupied Management functions for other companies in Canada, such as Mitel and Northern Telecom.
Gaétan Beaulieu has an Engineering degree from Montreal Polytechnique.
A Sales organization is being implemented to promote the actual and future MHS product portfolio.
